Bahaha! Looks like Shrek!! Pretty cool.
I think you should keep up the studies, especially the intricate anatomy ones that are in the Hogarth book. They are more helpful than I previously thought, the comparisons he makes from everyday items to figure parts are great.
Yeah- his simplification of forms into very easily understandable and identifiable units is very helpful. I will continue studying Hogarth as a result of this- but I don't want to be drawing "Hogarth Hands" in my work, so I should probably branch out a little more.
